communications and new media

Here’s what people say who’ve worked with us:

"Matt and I worked together on the British Council’s reach out project 2006 – 2007, where his insights and experience with ‘new media’ really helped bring the project alive.

Together we had to overcome a number of issues whilst working on this project, least of all the fact we were working across 9 countries with ranging political views. But with Matt’s knowledge and ability to make things happen we managed to prevail over them and build a very successful project for the organisation and FCO. Importantly we built up a strong community of young people and together with Matt’s connections were able to get their thoughts and opinions heard by world leaders at the World Summit on the Information Society."

(Pukul Rana, British Council)

"Matt runs a monthly meetup for professional communicators which I regularly attend and get a lot of enjoyment from. The many benefits include; professional networking opportunities, interesting and informative discussions and presentations as well as meeting new people in an informal setting. The meetings are always well organised and the agendas cover all aspects of communications, giving a useful forum for people working in the same sector."

(Nick Ronald. Communications. Royal College of Surgeons)

"There is one word that I remember Matt O'Neill using often as we worked on projects together - and that's 'utility'. Whilst Matt is on the leading edge of communication technology, that's not what drives his thinking. It's about understanding the business need, firing off dozens of ideas, collaborating, challenging and refining until we have created something of real, tangible value that does indeed deliver true utility. He's a great guy to work with."

(Jeff Banks, First Data International)

"I have worked with Matt O'Neill since 2006 on the development of two projects which I'm proud to say have been exciting, innovative and successful. The first - creating an live online blog for a high profile, national conference 'Your Place or Mine? Engaging new Audiences with Heritage' - was Matt's idea to revolutionise access to a conference and its proceedings. The blog, with sound clips, images, key note speeches, virtual delegate pack and the ability for people to carry on the debates during and after the conference, was very successful in moving the image of the heritage sector into the 21st century.

The second project was to build on the success of the conference by creating an online networking space where people who work in broadening access to heritage can network with peers, share case studies, discuss challenges and access news and resources. Our Place, which now has over 800 members, is a first for the cultural sector and is a great tool to support and bring professionals together in a virtual space where previously they may have been isolated and constantly reinventing the wheel.

Working with Matt on these projects has been fantastic. We have moved from client / supplier to working more as partners on these projects which has been great as we've both had the scope to take risks and develop some exciting ideas together. Matt works above and beyond the call of duty to create products which really work, he is constantly coming up with new ideas and improvements, which makes working with him exciting and the sites themselves better and better. He's opened up the online networking world to me and with his technical expertise and creativity, helped English Heritage create tools which will be of lasting benefit to our whole sector".

(Miriam Levin, Head of Outreach, English Heritage)

"Matt is a unique asset to any project. He brings clear-headed strategic thinking and that essential ability to gel with any team. He also comes with bags of experience and a reliable business instinct. There's no-one better placed to steer your company through the maze of communication and marketing technologies.

We have worked with Matt on a number of projects, all of which have met clear objectives and been a pleasure to execute. Highly recommended".
