This time, we’re heading into ‘The Matrix’ as it’s all about the use of 3D virtual worlds for communication. If you can’t make it to the face to face session, you’ll have the option to join us virtually ‘in-world’ via your computer.

Event synopsis:
Entering Enterprise 3D virtual worlds: What does it mean to us as communicators?
Joining us for the first meetup of 2009 is Ron Edwards of Ambient Performance. Formerly Global Head of E-Learning for Unilever, Ron is now one of the UK´s pioneers in the use of 3D virtual worlds for training and communication.
Ron will be demonstrating how these virtual worlds work for communications applications, which will include a live scenario demonstration with dozens of online role players at Forterra Systems, the creators of OLIVE (OnLine Interactive Virtual Environment) platform.
To really spice things up a bit, those of you who can´t make the physical meetup will have an opportunity to participate online. In order to do so, you must send an email to ron@REMOVETHISambientperformance.com. You will need to download software and install it on your machine. If planning to access this from within a corporate firewall, do consult your IT department (information to share with them can be provided)
It is planned to open up this event (virtually) to our colleagues in Geneva aswell.
This meetup will be our most experimental yet. If you thought the one we ran on ´Future of Mobile´pushed the barriers, you ain´t seen nothing yet!
Drop me a note or call me on 07815 876 904 if you’d like to attend.
Cordovan and Melcrum will be sharing sponsorship of food and drink on this meetup.
This event is cross posted from both Communicators Network and Facebook.
